The Process
The professional portrait painter you commission will travel to meet you at your preferred location. The initial session is designed for the artist to become acquainted with the subject, learn the wishes of the client regarding the portrait, to conduct a camera session, and to perform sketching and color studies.
The artist will return to their Studio to complete the painting. When complete, a photograph of the portrait will be sent to you for approval before shipping the portrait, or the artist will travel to you for delivery of the portrait and for the final session if requested.

Portrait Fees
LEON LOARD COMMISSIONED PORTRAITS only represents the nation's finest original portrait painters. Portrait prices for many of the artists we represent range as follows:
Bust pose $ 6,000 to $35,000
Three-quarter pose $9,000 to $45,000
Full length pose$ 12,000 to $90,000
Other fees will include 1) the cost for travel and related expenses to the client's home or location for the initial session and delivery of the completed portrait, 2) the cost for additional subjects or pets in the portrait, 3) extensive, detailed background, 4) framing, 5) boxing/crating, shipping and insurance and 6) sales tax if applicable.
